    Monday, December 25, 2006 - Bangor Daily News
    DEDHAM - Ryan W. Horr, "Little Guy," 5, died unexpectedly Dec. 22, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 2001, in Bangor, the son of William "Buddy" and June (Blaisdell) Horr Jr. Ryan enjoyed four-wheeling, T-ball, swimming and animals, and also loved giving hugs to everyone he knew. He was predeceased by his nana, Dorothy Blaisdell. Ryan is survived by his parents; and his brother, Brian, all of Dedham; his nana and papa, William and Laura Horr of Dedham; grumpy Willard "Bill" Blaisdell and Arlene Tebbetts of Framingham, Mass.; many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends and classmates. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, with the Rev.     Obituary: Published in Bangor Daily News from December 21 to December 22, 2009
    DEDHAM - William L. Horr Sr., 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep Dec. 19, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Bangor. Bill attended Bangor High School and served in the U.S. Army as a 30 caliper light machine gunner in France and Germany from 1943 to 1946 in World War II. He enjoyed volunteering at local grammar schools and Coles Museum, Bangor, explaining to children about World War II and always stating to them that, "Freedom does not come free." He worked for 36 years at N.H. Bragg, Bangor, and was also an accomplished carpenter. He attended many, many school sporting events watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. Bill was past commander of the Brewer Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge No. 217, Orrington; Anah Shriners, Anah Chanters, Brewer Eagles Club and was a Troop Greeter. He was a great provider and father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his seven children, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Newall Jr. and Hazel (Lowell) Horr; son, Richard "Ricky"; grandson, Ryan Horr; and brothers, Newall Jr. and Ernest Horr. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Gray) Horr; and children, Catherine "Cathy" Smith-Conroy, William "Buddy" Jr. and his wife, June, Robert "Rob" and his wife, Linda, Rodney and his wife, Marcia, Diane Jackson and James "Randy" Horr. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held noon Wednesday. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Dedham. Donations in his memory may be sent in support of the family, care of Rodney Horr, 159 Swetts Pond Road, Orrington, ME 04474.

    RICE, Minn. - Warren "Hi" R. Gray, 74, formerly of Bucksport, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at his home. Hi was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Dedham, to Walter and Helen (Black) Gray. He married Eureta Pelton, Nov. 11, 1955, in Bucksport. She died June 29, 1972. On July 21, 1973, Hi was united in marriage to Priscilla Sniffin in Old Town. Hi was employed for 42 years in the paper making industry with St. Regis Paper Co. - Champion Paper Co., Bucksport, then transferring to their Sartell, Minn., plant in 1981. While working in the Sartell, Minn., plant, Hi was a manager in the super calendars and roll wrapping division. He retired in 1998. Hi was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where he was a member of the pastoral care committee through which he assisted with lay Eucharistic visitations and transported senior citizens to appointments. Hi also was a member of St. John's Movers, the Cursillo community, delivered Meals on Wheels and served as an usher and greeter. He was a former member of Dedham United Church of Christ, North Bucksport Methodist Church and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Bucksport. Hi was a member of Felicity Lodge No. 19 AF & AM, Bucksport; King Solomon's Council No. 1, Verona Island; Anah Shrine, Bangor; and a past patron of Riverside Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Orland. He also served in the Air National Guard in Bangor. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Gray of Rice, Minn.; daughters and sons, Rae Jean and Timothy Craig of Bucksport, Earl Warren Gray and Koert DuBois of Fort Collins, Colo., Lisa G. and Michael Coonan of Mendota Heights, Minn., and Nathaniel J. and Julie Gray of Sartell, Minn.; brothers and sisters, Ward Gray of Dedham, Walter Gray of Dedham, Laura Horr of Dedham, and Irene Gray of Dedham; seven grandchildren, Lucas, David and Jennifer Craig of Bucksport, Grace and Bridget Coonan of Mendota Heights, Minn., and Nathaniel L. and Aaron Gray of Sartell, Minn.; and one great-granddaughter, Autumn J. Craig. He was predeceased by his parents; and first wife, Eureta. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. John's Episcopal Church, St. Cloud, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Interment will be at St. John's Episcopal Church Columbarium. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Minn.

    DEDHAM - Irene Gray, 82, died March 19, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Dedham, daughter of Walter H. and Helen (Black) Gray.
    She graduated from Brewer High School in 1948. Irene was employed for fifty years at United Way of Eastern Maine, retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member and organist of the Dedham Congregational Church, and was master of Victor Grange of Orland.
    Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Foster; a son, Wayne and his wife, Joan of Dedham; daughter-in-law, Marilyn "Pokey" Gray of Orrington; grandson, Shawn Gray and his fianc?ee, Kim Tripp of Bangor; two granddaughters, Brandy-Jo Ellis and her husband, James of Brewer, Amanda "Mandy" Savoy and husband, Jason of Milford; one great-granddaughter, Michela Malchiodi of Brewer; two brothers, Walter "Sonny" Gray of Dedham, Ward Gray of Orrington; a sister, Laura Horr of Dedham. Irene was predeceased by her son, Steve Gray and a brother, Warren "Hi" Gray.
    Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014.
