Obituary:
MUNCIE - Jackie L. Horr, 68, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Richard L. Roudebush V. A. Medical Center in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
Jackie was born in Modoc on December 5, 1943, the son of Charles W. and Barbara (Simpson) Horr, and attended Indiana Schools.
Mr. Horr served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Petroleum Manager. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant before his retirement.
Jackie was a member of American Legion Post #19. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Survivors include his wife, Retha Horr, Muncie; a son, Charles W. Horr II, Muncie; three daughters, Mildred L. Cohen, Colorado, Terry Ann Horr, Muncie, and Connie Lee Horr, Texas; three brothers, Rick Horr, Muncie, Mike Horr, (wife, Jackie), Muncie, and James Horr, Muncie; three sisters, Marsha Mullindorf, Coppers Cove, Texas, Bonnie Flick, (husband, David), Indianapolis, and Teresa Kennedy, Muncie; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild; a niece and two nephews.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Parson Mortuary with David Flick officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Military Honors being performed by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.

Charles Horr, 56, 709 Hoyt, died Thursday at Ball Hospital of injuries received last Friday in a three-vehicle accident on Ind. 67 near Ind. 28 northeast of Muncie.

A native of Leesburg, Ohio, he moved here 14 years ago from Richmond. He was employed for 20 years at a switchman for the C&O Railroad, and then worked as a self-employed landscaper.

He was a member of the Richmond Moose Lodge and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Surviving are his widow, Barbara; three daughters, Mrs. Marcia Wilson, Mrs. Teresa Kramer, and Mrs. Bonnie Flick, all of Muncie; four sons, Spec. 5 Jackie Horr, Ft. Hood, Texas, Michael, Muncie, and Rickie and James, at home; 13 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Swartz, Dayton, and Mrs. Dorothea Bastian, Leesburg.

Funeral services for Mr. Horr will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Callers will be received at the mortuary after 2:30 p.m. Sunday and prior to the services Monday.

Obituary:
MUNCIE--Barbara M. Horr, 73, died Friday in Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Horr was born in Hagerstown. She moved to Muncie from Richmond in 1958. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Jackie Horr (wife-Retha), Rick Horr, Michael Horr, and James Horr; three daughters, Marcia Mullendore (husband-Larry), Teresa Kennedy and Bonnie Flick (husband-David); two sisters, Pauline Tarplee and Shirley Hunter (husband-Eugene); 16 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Charles Horr, two brothers, and two grandchildren are deceased.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
