Deceased Name: HENRY SHEPHERD CHOWNING
Henry Shepherd Chowning, 84, of Urbanna, co-owner of Nimcock Gallery, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009. He was a WW II Navy veteran.
Survived by his wife, Emily Blake Chowning; daughter, Susan Hoar (Wayne) of Williamsburg; son, Larry Chowning (Dee) of Urbanna; grandchildren, Tyler Hoar (Laura), Damon Chowning (Sarah), Cara Hoar, Peyton Blodgett (Jacob) and Hannah Gallup; great-grandchildren, Michaela Chowning, Kasey Hoar and Caleb Chowning.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Bristow- Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment Middlesex Memorial Cemetery, Urbanna. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday (today) at the funeral home.
