In Almond, N. Y., Feb. 13th, 1880, Mr. James C. Hoard, in the 75th year of his age. His death was a result of a decay of the powers of nature. His sickness was of only a few weeks in duration. At the time of his death, he was living in the family of his son-in-law, Mr. John Sisson, where he received every possible attention. Many years since he became a citizen of the town of Alfred, where he resided up to a few years since. In early life he made profession of faith in Christ, which he ever after maintained. He was a man of industry and strict integrity, and for his many virtues was highly esteemed.James married Eliza Ann Walker. Eliza was born about 1812 in New Jersey, USA Or New York, USA; died on 5 Nov 1868 in Alfred, Allegany Co, New York, USA. [Group Sheet]
