The Rev. Uriah Wood died in Mendota at the residence of his adopted daughter, August (actually September) 4th, age 82 years. the funeral took place in this city yesterday. Mr Wood came to this state in 1839 from New York and has resided in this vacinity ever since. He was highly esteemed by all.

Uriah married Hannah Kline. Hannah was born about 1806 in Massachusetts, USA; died in in Aurora, Kane Co, Illinois, USA; was buried in Aurora, Kane Co, Illinois, USA (Spring Lake Cemetery). [Group Sheet]
