    Wm Hoar was born in Devonshire, England April 2, 1827, died at his home in South Onawa, March 31, 1910. He was married to Elizabeth Dugdale July 17, 1846. They came to America in 1848 living for a short time in New Jersey, Illinois and Eastern Iowa. They came to Monona County in 1880 settling in Mapleton where they remained until four years ago when they came to Onawa.
    To this union ten children were born, five sons and five daughters. Four sons and two daughters with the aged wife still survive him.

    William married Elizabeth Dugdale on 17 Jul 1846 in England. Elizabeth (daughter of George Dugdale and Grace Angel) was born on 2 Feb 1827 in Devonshire, England; died on 26 Jul 1910 in Onawa, Monona Co, Iowa, USA. [Group Sheet]
