      Undated obituary from the scrapbook of Georgia Pangborn:
      S. D. Hoar of Levering Dies. Samuel D. Hoar died at his home in Levering Tuesday afternoon. He was born at the Hoar farm on January 9, 1893. He lived his entire life in and near Levering. During his early years he operated what was known as the Levering Stave Mill, and also engaged in lumbering. The latter years were spent in farming. Surviving sre his wife Elsie, two daughters, Mrs. Lester Kalbfleisch (Winona) of Levering, and Hilda DeLong (Hilda) of Portland, Ore., besides a brother Levi of Levering, a sister Mrs. Violet Ammon of Portland, Ore., and two granddaughters Judy and Suzanne Kalbfleisch of Levering. The body will lie in state at the Nordman Funeral Home until Thursday morning. It will then be taken to the residence at Levering and will remain there until it is removed to the Levering church Friday noon for the service Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church of Levering. Burial will be in the Carp Lake Cemetery.
