      Obituary:
      Betty R. Hoar, age 85, of Salem died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 9:42 p.m. at The Waters of Salem.
      She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Tabor Christian Church.
      She was born June 6, 1925 at Campbellsburg, the daughter of Homer H. and Gladys E. Pollard Clevenger.
      She was married to Morris E. Hoar on December 13, 1942. He survives.
      Preceding her in death were a son, Donald (Ann) Hoar, her parents, and a brother, Jay Clevenger.
      Also surviving are two sons, Robert (Carol) Hoar and David (Sherri) Hoar, both of Salem; two daughters, Connie (Richard) Yeaton of Columbus and Marcia (Bruce) Parkhurst of Toledo, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
      Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Christian Church, with Ross Logan and Jim Applegate officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Weathers Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
      Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Research, Hospice, or a charity of donor's choice.
