Horr, 68, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Richard L. Roudebush V. A. Medical Center in Indianapolis following an extended illness. Jackie was born in Modoc on December 5, 1943, the son of Charles W. and Barbara (Simpson) Horr, and attended Indiana Schools. Mr. Horr served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Petroleum Manager. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant before his retirement. Jackie was a member of American Legion Post #19. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Survivors include his wife, Retha Horr, Muncie; a son, Charles W. Horr II, Muncie; three daughters, Mildred L. Cohen, Colorado, Terry Ann Horr, Muncie, and Connie Lee Horr, Texas; three brothers, Rick Horr, Muncie, Mike Horr, (wife, Jackie), Muncie, and James Horr, Muncie; three sisters, Marsha Mullindorf, Coppers Cove, Texas, Bonnie Flick, (husband, David), Indianapolis, and Teresa Kennedy, Muncie; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild; a niece and two nephews. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Parson Mortuary with David Flick officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Military Honors being performed by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
