Mileta was the 6th & youngest child of Wm. H. & Jessie (Ratcliffe) Hoar.
They farmed in the Solina area (5 miles West of Bowmanville), On.
They met when Mileta came to teach at the school on the corner of Elgin's parent's farm. She boarded at their home.
Mileta was president of the Adult Bible class at United Church in Solina, in 1926.
They are buried in the Eldad United Church Cemetery, Solina. They had 4 children: Helen, Bruce, Evelyn, & Don

Bruce is buried in the Eldad United Church Cemetery, Solina.
They had 8 children: Walter, Lawrence, Neil, Twins (Annette & Collette), Pauline, Francine, & Kevin

Bob was ordained a United Church minister in 1954, and retired in 1992 from Gravenhurst where he served 14 years.
During his last year in Gravenhurst he served as President of Toronto Conference.

Dave was ordained a United Church Minister in 1990. He has served the Creemore United Church until 1998, and presently is at Glen Cairn United Church, Kanta, On. Dave was a house mate of the author of this book (1978-81) at Stephenson House, Victoria College, Toronto, but neither knew at the time that they were related. Dave's father also lived there when a student.
Mari Lou is the daughter of Rev. David Reeve. She is a lawyer and works for the Dept of Justice.

Joyce lives in Solina. Don worked for Bell Canada. He is buried in the Eldad United Church Cemetery, Solina. His stone has musical symbols on it as took singing lessons, and sang in little theatre shows & church.
