Horr Medical Education Fund. http://modocindependentnews.blogspot.com/2010/01/rural-counties-need-doctors.html Ivy Buchler Horr created a trust before she died through which low interest loans are awarded to students from Shasta, Lassen, Trinity, Tehama, Modoc & Siskiyou Counties [California] pursuing an education in medicine. The trust was recently transferred to the Community Foundation for permanent administration. To date [Jan 2010] over 150 people have benefited from the generosity of Ivy B. Horr.
