AUGUSTA, Ga. - John Horr, 73, of Augusta, formerly of this area [Hampshire Co., Massachusetts], died April 18 [1998] in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of American Legion Post 148 in Amherst and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He leaves four daughters, Eileen Orr of New Ellenton, S.C., Joanne Orr of North Guilford, Conn., Jacqui Anderson of Carrollton, Ga., and Karen Reinlib of Laurel, Md.; two brothers, Morgan Orr of Springfield, and Michael Orr of Belchertown; six sisters, Fannie Ely of Hadley, Sadie Cooper of Punta Gorda, Fla., Hazel Boynton of Palmer, Mae Sandoval of Amherst, Blanch Owens of Walhalla, S.C., and Bessie Brock of Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
