  [[ Her father's (step-father's?) obituary: Roanoke Times, The (VA) - October 9, 1992 Deceased Name: OBIT-JENNINGS, G. JENNINGS, GEORGE B., JR. George B. Jennings, Jr., age 79, of Roanoke died at his home Wednesday evening. He was a 1934 graduate of the University of Virginia, served in the Navy during World War II, and was a partner and co-owner of Jennings-Shepherd, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Susan Lunsford Jennings; five children, Susan Jennings Denson; George B. Jennings, III; Elizabeth Jennings Shupe; Julia Sargeant Hoar; C. Preston Sargeant; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at St. John's Episcopal Church 11:30 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell and the Rev. David C. (Kirk) Brown. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
