      Deceased Name: Edwin Clare Drier Sr.
      Edwin Clare Drier Sr., 91, of Silver Springs, Fla., died Thursday, July 24, 2003, in Ocala, Fla.
      A memorial service and luncheon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Larks Lake Township Hall. The Rev. Nancy Woods of Lighthouse Agape Church in Mackinaw City will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
      Edwin was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Mackinaw City, the son of Myron and Effie May (Nestle) Drier. He grew up in Levering and attended school in Pellston.
      He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva I. (Hoar) Drier, in July 1968. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Martha Aldrich Drier, in February 1974, as well as a brother, Myron Jr. and Frances Drier; and sisters, Pearl and Truman Cameron and Jewel and Ford Redding.
      Mr. Drier was a farmer and road construction worker. He was a resident of Levering for 65 years, retiring in Florida in 1977.
      He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cribbage. He was a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM.
      Survivors include his sons, Edwin C. Drier Jr. and his wife, Imogene, of Pellston, and Harold L. Drier and his wife, Shirley, of Levering; three stepsons, James, Thomas and Walter Aldrich, of Northern Michigan; one brother, Melvin and Doris Drier, of Levering; one brother-in-law, Charles and Beverly Orr, of Shelby, Mich.; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
