      Ellen M. (Hoar) Svoboda
      Funeral services for Ellen M. (Hoar) Svoboda, 48, of Chardon, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hambden Congregational Church, 13840 G.A.R. Highway, Hambden.
      Mrs. Svoboda died Aug. 21, 2004, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
      Born July 16, 1956, in Cleveland, she was a lifelong resident of Chardon.
      She enjoyed motorcycling, crocheting, and traveling.
      Mrs. Svoboda worked in patient registration at Hillcrest Hospital.
      Survivors are her husband, Richard "Dick" Svoboda, whom she married on June 27, 1975, in Chester Township; son, Rich Svoboda of Chardon; daughters, Holly (Matt) Turner of Madison and Sarah Svoboda of Chardon; brothers, Kenny (Kathy) Hoar of Burton and Chuck (Debbie) Hoar of Maine; sisters, Eileen (Roger) Schaffert of Chester Township, Joyce Bosley of Wash., and Sally (Robert) Boveington of Chester Township; and granddaughter, Kaylee Carmigiano.
      Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Rt. 44, 500 ft south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Pastor John Dove of the Hambden Congregational Church will officiate at services. Burial will be in Hambden Township Cemetery in Hambden.
      The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 7861 Crile Road, Concord, 44077.
