      Thomas C. Ellis
      SARATOGA SPRINGS - Funeral services for Thomas C. Ellis, 62, of Wilton, a Massena native, will be held Monday at noon at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, with the Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
      There will be no calling hours.
      Mr. Ellis died Friday (Feb. 27, 2009) at home surrounded by his loving family.
      Along with his wife, Hazel, he is survived by his children, Carrie, Tom Jr. and Judith Ellis; and many other family members and friends.
      In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judith Ann Horr.
      Mr. Ellis was born on Oct. 1, 1946, in Carthage, the son of the late Regina and Carroll Ellis. He graduated from Massena High School in 1965.
      A veteran of the U.S. Air Forces, he served during Vietnam.
      He and his beloved wife of 37 years, Hazel (Cook), first lived in Syracuse and then made their home in Wilton. He was the owner of Ellis Insurance Agency for 17 years.
      He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed attending his children's hockey games, as well as golfing and hunting with friends and family.
