      Will of Margaret Annette Clarkson, of Ogdensburg, NY
      In the name of God, Amen:
      I, Margaret A.Hoard, of the City of Ogdensburg, St Lawrence County, N.Y., do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say:
      First. I direct the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses.
      Second. I give, devise and bequeath absolutely and in fee, to my son Charles de Villers Hoard,
      ?A? the dwelling house and premises where I now reside situate in Block N?A?42, in the City of Ogdensburg, N.Y., with the appurtenances thereto belonging,
      ?A? and also all household furniture, linen, china glassware, silverware, books, music, musical instruments, pictures, paintings, jewels, jewelry, and wearing apparel,
      ?A? and all horses, carriages, sleighs, harnesses, robes and horse and carriage accessories which I may have at the time of my death,
      ?A? and I hereby request that my said son reserve for himself and his wife such articles of personal property hereinbefore mentioned, as either of them may desire,
      ?A? and make such division of the remainder of such articles among my female relatives and friends as in his judgment he may deem to be in accordance with my wishes.
      All subsequent provisions of this my Will are made subject to the foregoing devise and bequest to my said son.
      Third. I give and bequeath to my grand-daughter, Louise de Villers Lomax, of Denver, Colorado, if she shall survive me, the sum of five thousand ($5000.) dollars.
      Fourth. I give and bequeath unto Walter de Villers Lomax, Stanley Hoard Lomax, Florence Lomax and Nancy de Villers Lomax, children of my said grand-daughter, Louise de Villers Lomax, the sum of five hundred ($500.) dollars, each, and in case either of said children die before my death, the sum hereby given and bequeathed to such child, shall be divided equally among the surviving children of the said Louise de Villers Lomax.
      Fifth. I give and bequeath unto my brother, Charles F.Clarkson, of Piqua, Ohio, if he shall survive me, the sum of three thousand ($3000) dollars. In case, however, my said brother shall die before my death, then one thousand ($1000) dollars of said sum qhall be paid to my sister-in-law, Anne G.Clarkson, wife of the said Charles F.Clarkson.
      Sixth. I give and bequeath unto my sister-in-law Anne G.Clarkson, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars. This sum is in addition to the provision made for her benefit in the preceding subdivision of my will.
      Seventh. I give and bequeath unto my niece Margaret E.Rayner, of Piqua, Ohio, if she shall survive me, the sum of two thousand ($2000) dollars.
      Eighth. I give and bequeath unto my nephew Otho Gale Clarkson, of Dayton, Ohio, if he shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars. In case he shall die before my death, I give and bequeath said sum to his son, Otho Gale Clarkson.
      Ninth. I give and bequeath unto my nephew, Charles H.Clarkson, son of my brother Joseph K.Clarkson, if he shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Tenth. I give and bequeath unto my nephew, William E.Clarkson, son of my brother Joseph K.Clarkson, if he shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars from which is to be deducted the sum of two hundred ($200) dollars, the amount of a promissory note of the said William K.Clarkson, bearing date November 15th, 1895, payable two years after date to my order. No deduction to be made of any accrued interest on said note.
      Eleventh. I give and bequeath to my nephew, Maxon H.Clarkson, son of my brother Joseph K.Clarkson, if he shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Twelfth. I give and bequeath unto my nephew Louis de Villers Clarkson, son of my brother Joseph K.Clarkson, if he shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Thirteenth. I give and bequeath unto my cousin, Florence Mac Clarkson, of Truro, Nova Scotia, if she shall survive me, the sum of two thousand ($2000) dollars.
      Fourteenth. I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Mc Cully, daughter of Martha G.McCully, of Truro, Nova Scotia, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Fifteenth. I give and bequeath unto Louise H.McCully, daughter of Martha G.McCully, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Sixteenth. I give and bequeath to my aunt Martha Grey Mc Cully, of Truro, Nova Scotia, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Seventeeth. I give and bequeath to my sister in law Sophia H.Holmes, of Great Bend, Kansas, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars. In case she shall die before my death, I give and bequeath said sum to her son, Henry T.Holmes, of Great Bend, Kansas.
      Eighteenth. I give and bequeath to Mrs Sophia Woods, daughter of George Seymour Hoard, of Chicago, Illinois, if she shall survive me, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars. In case she shall die before my death, the said sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars, to go to her next of kin.
      Nineteenth. I give and bequeath to John W.Perkins, of Ogdensburg, N.Y.n in token of my appreciation of his faithful service and attention to my interests during the past fourteen years, the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars.
      Twentieth. I give and bequeath unto Rev. Edgar L.Sanford, of Ogdensburg, N.Y., the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars, provided he is Rector of St John's Episcopal Church, of Ogdensburg, N.Y., at the time of my death.
      Twenty-first. I give and bequeath to the Wardens and Vestrymen of St John's Episcopal Church, of Ogdensburg, N.Y., the sum of one thousand ($1000) dollars, for parish uses.
      Twenty-second. I give and bequeath unto the Ogdensburg Public Library, the sum of two thousand ($2000) dollars.
      Twenty-third. If my personal estate, exclusive of the property mentioned in the second subdivision of this my will, be insufficient to pay in full such of the foregoing legacies as shall not lapse, then I direct that such legacies be paid pro rata.
      Twenty-fourth. I give, devise and bequeath unto my son Charles de Villers Hoard, all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal, wheresoever situate.
      Twenty-fifth. I do hereby make, constitute and appoint my said son Charles de Villers Hoard, sole executor of this, my will, and I do hereby revoke any and all former wills by me made.
      In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name the 6th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

      We, whose names are hereto subscribed Do Certify, that on the 6th day of April 1908, Margaret A.Hoard, the testatrix, subscribed her name to this instrument consisting of five pages, in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time in our presence and hearing declared the same to be her last Will and Testament, and requested us, and each of us, to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof, which we hereby do in the presence of the testator and of each other, on...../......
      Your petitioner further shows that the legatees, devisees, executors and trustees named in the last Will and Testament of said deceased, and their places of residence, relationship to said deceased, if any and the amount of their legacies or devises are as follows and none other or others to the best knowledge, information and belief of your petitioner, viz:

      That a copy of the will of the said Margarette A Hoard is hereto attached + mo... a post.....
      That --------------, residing in the Town of -----------, aforesaid of full age, is the widow of said -----------, deceased.
      Your petitioner further shows that he is informed and believes, that the Surrogate of the said County has jurisdiction to take the proof of said last Will and Testament, and over the executor thereof, and the power of granting Letters Testamentary thereon, with all powers incidental thereto. And that he is desirous that such proof should be taken, and such Letters granted, and that such further of other proceedings in the premises should be had as are legal and proper.
      Your petitioner therefore prays that a Citation may issue out of and under the seal of this court, to be directed to the proper persons, pursuant to the Statutes in such case made and provided, requiring them and each of them, at such time and place as shall be in said Citation mentioned, to appear and attend the probate of said last Will and Testament, and that such further or other proceedings in the premises should be duly had as may be required, to the proving and recording of said last Will and Testament, and the granting Probate and Letters Testamentary thereof. And your petitioner will ever pray, &c.

      ESTATE OF MARGARETTE A.HOARD, DECEASED
      The following is a correct and true statement of
      1. All moneys which belonged to Margarette A.Hoard at the time of her death and which came into the possession of Charles A.(sic) Hoard upon his appointment as executor of the estate of the said Margarette A.Hoard.
      2. All moneys received by said executor upon the sale of certain securities belonging to said estate.
      3. Estimated value of securities belonging to said estate which remain unsold (exclusive of accrued interest and dividends)
      4. Estimated value of other personal property which has been transferred and delivered in kind to the legatee entitled thereto by the terms of the Will of the said Margarette A.Hoard.
