Bailey, brothers, lived in Grinnell a few years and died in this city. Edwin S. Bailey, who came to Grinnell from Antwerp, New York, in the fall of 1855, conducted a store and passed away on the 23rd of March, 1864. Alfred Bailey came from Antwerp, New York, to Grinnell in the fall of 1856. He conducted a hotel on the corner west of Main street and south of Fifth avenue, which was named the Bailey House. His demised occurred on the 26th of March, 1858.
