Stephen "Chichi," 78, Johnstown, died May 7, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 15, 1933, son of Michael and Helen (Tertinsky) Sefcik. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; infant brother, Frankie; sister-in-law, Margaret (Caddy) Sefcik; and brother-in-law, Stephen Kralik. Brother of Dolores; James; Betty Ann Sefcik, and friend, Tom Beiter; Joseph, married to Christine Friedman; William, married to June Hoar; Robert, married to Martha Spencer; Edward, and wife, Sandy; Rosemary, wife of Douglas West; and Alfred. Also survived by sister-in-law, Loretta (Sutt) Sefcik; special friend, Natalie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the former St. Stephen's Catholic Church and retired from Schultz Brothers beer distributor. Stephen was a former member of Minersville PNA and member of the 1956 Hahn Packing AAABA championship baseball team. An avid local sports fan, Chichi was well-known for attending various local sporting and polka events in the area. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Parish, Father Alan Thomas, officiating.
