      William J. Hoard, 69, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
      He was born Jan. 2, 1941 in Bronson Township to Lloyd A. and Verna V. (Sharpe) Hoard.
      William had worked at Gambles Warehouse in Coldwater for 19 years and retired from Panel Processing in Coldwater after 18 years.
      He is survived by a son; Robert W. (Melissa George) Hoard of Coldwater, grandson Eric Hartbarger, granddaughter Morgan Dale Hoard, two brothers from Texas and a sister, from Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a daughter, Rina Hartbarger in 1997.
      William loved spoiling his granddaughter and gardening, especially growing horseradish.
      There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater. A luncheon will follow at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Hall, 331 Butters Avenue, Coldwater.
