      Obituary:
      HOARD, Mr. Charles "Chuck" Wyoming, MI (Formerly of Kalamazoo) Died Friday evening March 9, 2012 at his residence. Charles was born May 13, 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Harry and Myrtle (Gilbert) Hoard. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the James River Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Charles was also a member of the Lighthouse Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy "June" (Vette) Hoard in May 1997; a granddaughter, Jodie Cutler in August of 1992; a great-granddaughter, Devon Mae Boelema; a great-grandson, Derick Bonga; 4 brothers, Thomas, Glenn "Bob", Dayton, and Jack Hoard; and 2 sisters, Betty Coffman and Anna Rich. Charles is survived by a son, David (Viola) Eaton of Byron Center, MI; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Hoard of Galesburg; special friend, Fahad Ilahi of Byron Center, MI; special nephew, Theo (Judy) Metzger of Richland; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday at the Lighthouse Community Church, 4321 S. 11th St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to the Lighthouse Community Church Building Fund.
