      Obituary:
      HOAR Annabelle Jean (nee Kelly) Born in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2009 in West Vancouver, after a courageous battle with cancer. Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her family, son Michael Bradley of Vancouver, daughter Nancy (Kaspar Donier), grandchildren Wendy and Liza of Seattle; sister Joan (Richard Roland) of Whitehorse; brother Jerry Kelly of North Vancouver, and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Annabelle was predeceased by her husband Gerald (Jerry) and brothers, Gordon, Ray and Keith, sister Maureen and her parents Jean and Michael Kelly. Following graduation from the University of Alberta School of Nursing in 1947, Annabelle nursed at Shaughnessy and Vancouver General Hospital, and then was a stewardess for C P Air (now Air Canada). Later, she nursed at St. Paul's, and Lions Gate Hospital and enjoyed volunteering at numerous organizations, including 23 years at Lions Gate Hospital. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 11:00 am, reception following, both at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave. The family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. George Chalmers, and Drs. Judith Pike and Kenneth Swenerton of the BC Cancer Agency, her special friend Ruth Lewis, the staff at Inglewood Care Centre and her many friends who have been with her over the years particularly since she became ill.
