REWARD CLAIMED. The reward of ?1,000 which was offered for the recovery of the long-lost will of an eccentric Portsmouth character named James Payne Hoar, who died two years ago, was claimed yesterday. Mr. James Bacon, who lives at the house in Union-street, Portsea, which was formerly occupied by the late Mr. George Feltham, who was Mr. Hoar's solicitor, was clearing away some old shelves in a room which Mr. Feltham had used at his office when he found behind them a time-stained and dusty package. This proved on examination to be the missing will, under which between ?30,000 and ?40,000 will now be distributed among a number of legatees instead of going in a lump sum to the next-of-kin.
