WALTER S. HOAR Jr., 87, of Warwick Avenue, a chief engineer at Hood's Dairy Co. in Providence for 32 years, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hosptial. He was the husband of Irene (Quigley) Hoar.
Born in Providence, a son of the late WalterS. Hoar Sr. and Annie B. (Morrarty) Hoar, he lived in Providence before moving to Warwick in 1960.
He was employed as a maintenance worker at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick for the last six years.
Besides his wife he leaves a son, Ronald A. Hoarof Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Hazel M. Commette of Cranston; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was brother of the late Mildred L. Hoar.
The funeral and burial will be private.
