      H o r r - E a r l e y Reunion.
The eighth annual reunion of the Horr
and Early families was held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Cross of Pulteney,
      August 16, 1016.
The morning was spent very pleasant
ly In greeting old friends aud talking
over old times. At 2 o'clock a bountiful
dinner was served to which all did ample
justice. After dinner a short program,
consisting of songs and recitations was
glvcMi. Several friends of the family
consented to take part aud their efforts
were much appreciated and enjoyed by
all. Another pleasing feature of the
pregrnm was a soug by Mrs. Elisha Horr
emltled, " Silver Threads among the
Gold." which was very effectively rendered
and brought tears to many eyes
The oldest representatives of the family
were Mr. Willliini Ron- who is in his
ninety Uourlh year and Mr. Elisha P.
Horr of Denver who is in his 78th year.
They had not seen each other for many
years and their meeting proved so
effective that it served as an inspiration
      for the following poem:
At the home of F. S. Cross on August 16,
The Horr family gathered from everywhere I
      ween,
To exchange friendly greeting and talk over
      old times;
Their glad hearts were beating with fond
      memories chimes.
Two old brothers gray with years
Greeted each other with smiles and tears.
Fifty One years had passed away
Since they had parted to make their own way.
One seventy eight and one ninety three,
      One that was lame and could not see;
Wrinkles of care were on each face,
But the family ties, time could not erase,
      R. M.
