Mr. Clyde H. Hoard
Special Services:
Funeral services were held on Monday February 2, 2009 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. Clyde was laid to rest at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Arbela Twp. of Millington MI Pastor Ron Carey delivered the funeral message and the committal prayers.
Clyde passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Thursday morning January 29, 2009 at his residence. Clyde was 85.
Clyde H. Horad was born April 16 1923 in Arbela Twp. Michigan where he has been a life long resident. He was the son of Amos & Margarite (Smith) Hoard. He was a graduate of Millington High School. After high school Clyde joined the US-Marines and served during WW-II in the Pacific Theater. When he returned home Clyde went to work for General Motors as a Supervisor in the Parts Divison of the Swartzcreek Plant retiring in 1978. Clyde married Miss Marleah Leach in January of 1948, Clyde and Marleah have celebrated 61 years of marriage. Clyde was a past member of the GM-Excutive Club, and an active member of the Millington Baptist Church. Clyde also maintained a membership in the Millington - Arbela Historical Society. Clyde leaves; wife Marleah three sons and daughter in-laws; Ken & Kathy Hoard, Alan & Sheila Hoard, and Jeff & Dawn Hoard. nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A brother and sister in law; Ron & Mary Lee Hoard. Three sisters two brother in-laws. Velma & Elden Price, Norma & Lloyd Taylor, and Carol Crews. sister in-law Jean Hoard, and a brother in-law Arthur Jolly. Clyde leaves also several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorail gifts of remembrance can be directed to either the Millington Baptist Church, Millington - Arbela Twp. Fire Department,or the Millington - Arbela Historical Society. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Hoard family with the arrangements.

JOLLY, Mrs. Frances I. - Of Millington, age 70, passed away Monday, March 24, 1997, at her Millington residence. Frances was born April 22, 1926 in Millington where she has been a life long resident. She was the daughter of Amos and Margarette Hoard. Frances married Herbert (Art) Jolly in December of 1952, together they shared 44 years of marriage. Frances leaves to cherish her memories her husband and family: husband, Art Jolly of Millington; Marilyn Jolly, Melody Hoffman of Freeland, MI, Bud and Neila Jolly of Columbiaville, Lori and Tom List of Frankenmuth, MI, Leann and Joe Rivard of Birch Run, MI; 10 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Clyde and Marlea Hoard, Ron and Opal Hoard, Robert Burch; 3 sisters, Norma and Loyd Taylor, Velma and Al Price, Carol Crews; and one sister-in-law, Jean Hoard; as well as several nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Hoard. Funeral services for Frances will be 11AM Thursday, March 27, 1997 at the Millington Baptist Church located on Center St. in Millington, with the burial to follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery, Pastor McGarvey will officiate the services. Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1-9PM. Frances will lie in state at the Church on Thursday from 9:30AM until the hour of the services. Memorial donations in Frances memory may be made to the McLaren Hospice. Robert K. Burch, 71, of Attica for 43 years (formerly of Croswell), died April 6, 2006. He was born August 13, 1934, in Arbela, MI. He married Dorothy Toles on April 7, 1957.
Mr. Burch retired from Sun Oil petroleum supplier. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Robert enjoyed wood working, gardening, his view of Elk Lake, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Bryan (Dawn) Ludlow of Attica, Becky Collom of TN, Stacie Preville of Lapeer, Valarie (Andy) Logan of Oxford; grandchildren, Bryn, Bryanna, Scott, Sarah, Karensue, Mark, John, A.J., Liam; great-grandchildren, Montana, Colton, Kamdyn; siblings, Alta Shaw of Lake Port, Clyde (Marliah) Hoard of Millington, Ron (Mary Lee) Hoard of Millington, Carol Crews of Millington, Valma (Eldon) Price of Swartz Creek, Norma (Lloyd) Taylor of Vassar; and sister-in-law, Jean Hoard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Burch in 1995; parents, Floyd and Gladys Burch, Amos and Margaret Mae Hoard; siblings, Ray Hoard, Mary Riley, and Francis Hoard.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, Dryden.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 8, 2006, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Dryden. Rev. Susan C. Rich officiated. Burial was in Attica Township Cemetery, Attica.
