HOARD, Anna L. - Of Flint, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 4, 1998. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday, June 8, 1998 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., with Rev. Duane F. Sweet officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Mrs. Hoard will lie in state at the funeral home after 1PM Saturday. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday from 1-4PM and 6-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or Arthritis Foundation. Mrs. Hoard was born in Flint, Michigan on March 4, 1917 and resided her entire life in Flint. For 29 years she was employed at Chevrolet Engine Plant and retired as a stenographer in 1972. She was a member of Chevrolet Car Club Retirees and I.B.G. Retirees Club. Surviving are: husband, Paul; three children, Paula Campbell and husband Jack, Ray Hoard and wife Helen, Stephen Hoard and wife Fran; four grandchildren, Rodney Campbell and wife Julie Ann, Jeffrey Hoard, Eric Taylor, Carrie Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Britanie Rountree, Wyatt Campbell, Sidney Campbell; sister, Mildred Murphy; nephew, Partick Murphy and wife Elaine; niece, Connie Middleton and husband Chuck; special friends, Bobbi Eckstrom, Donna Molaski, Karen Reeser; and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna (Sovis) Pichner.

Anna married Paul Hoard on 16 Nov 1940 in Flint, Genesee Co, Michigan, USA. Paul (son of Eugene Hoard and Alice Alma Hart) was born on 11 Feb 1916 in Arbela, Tuscola Co, Michigan, USA; died on 17 Dec 2000 in Michigan, USA; was buried in Flint, Genesee Co, Michigan, USA (Flint Memorial Park Cemetery).
