Deceased Name: Ernest C. Ploof
Ernest C. Ploof, 67, Grand Rapids, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1995, in Escondido, Calif.
He was born in Grand Rapids. He married Virginia Hoard on Dec. 23, 1947, in Cohasset. He worked for U.S. Steel for 33 1/2 years. He was a longtime Grand Rapids area resident. He was a member of the 50 Plus Club and United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids.
His father, Ray Ploof, died previously. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a son, Bradley of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; two daughters, Dianne Payment of Cohasset and Dawnette Davis Kringen of Grand Rapids; his mother, Inez Dugan Ploof of Grand Rapids; a brother, Darrel of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Janine Wagner of Cohasset; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
