    OXFORD - Hester M. (Wilkins) Socia, 77, of 6 Oak Drive, North Oxford, died Tuesday in the Providence House Nursing Home in Southbridge after a long illness.
    She leaves her husband of 50 years, Charles Socia; a son, Michael C. Socia of Groton; a daughter, Norel M. Cronin of North Oxford; two brothers, Wilfred Wilkins of Oxford and Roland Wilkins of Patten, Maine; two sisters, Vivian "Honey" Socia of Oxford and Dorothy Shean of Island Falls, Maine; and four grandchildren. She was born in Island Falls, Maine, daughter of Ruppert and Mildred (Hoar) Wilkins, and lived in North Oxford for many years.
    She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford in North Oxford, and the Church Women's Fellowship, the Bible Study Group and the Church Choir.
    The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the First Baptist Church of Oxford, 159 Main St., North Oxford. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home, 247 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Oxford, Memorial Fund, 159 Main St., North Oxford 01537.

    OXFORD - Wilfred R. "Willie" Wilkins, 73, of Rose Lane, a longtime truck driver and church deacon, died Thursday in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after he was stricken ill at home. He would have been 74 tomorrow.
    He leaves his wife of 46 years, Jean R. (Blomquist) Wilkins; a daughter, Bonnie J. Wilkins of Ayer; a brother, Roland T. Wilkins of Patten, Maine; two sisters, Vivian Socia of Oxford and Dorothy Shean of Island Falls, Maine; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Steven R. Wilkins of Oxford, died in 1971. Another son, Roger W. Wilkins of Oxford, died in 1990. He was born in Island Falls, Maine, son of Rupert and Mildred (Hoar) Wilkins, and lived there 25 years. He then lived several years in Worcester and 44 years in Oxford. He graduated from Island Falls High School in 1942.
    He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He received a Bronze Battle Star.
    Mr. Wilkins was a truck driver for Keebler Co. in Framingham for 26 years, retiring in 1985. He was then a substitute custodian for four years in the Oxford school system. He once worked for five years at Guaranteed Builders Inc. in Douglas.
    Mr. Wilkins was a member of First Baptist Church in North Oxford and served on its Board of Properties. He was a deacon in the church for 16 years and sang for 20 years in its choir. He was a member of Oxford Post 58, American Legion.
    A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, 693 Main St., North Oxford. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family in North Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 693 Main St., North Oxford, MA 01537.

    PATTEN - Roland "Stoke" Wilkins, 85, died July 17, 2012, in Houlton. He was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Houlton, the son of Rupert and Mildred (Hoar) Wilkins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he drove truck for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Baker) Wilkins of Patten; three children, Virginia Hartin and her husband, Steve, of Hersey, R. Thomas Wilkins and his wife, Kim, of Old Town and Carol Wilkins-Roy and her husband, Troy Roy of Levant; seven grandchildren, Monica, Chris, Matt, Brad, Hailey, Dylan and Noah; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Leigha, Kirby, Madison and Ava; two sisters, Vivian Socia of Oxford, Mass., and Dorothy Shean of Crystal; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Wilfred and Earl; and a sister, Hester. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Patten, where a Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. with Father David Raymond, celebrant.     OXFORD - Roger W. Wilkins, 27, of 4 Rose Lane died Saturday night in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, from injuries suffered Wednesday night when his motorcycle and an automobile collided at Massasoit Road and Route 20 in Worcester.
    He leaves his parents, Wilfred R. and Jean R. (Blomquist) Wilkins of Oxford, with whom he lived; a sister, Bonnie J. Barber of Oxford; his paternal grandmother, Mildred (Hoar) Wilkins of Patten, Maine; aunts and uncles; and two nieces. His brother, Steven R. Wilkins of Oxford, died in 1971. He was born in Webster and lived here most of his life. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1980.
    He was a truck driver for 2 1/2 years for Guaranteed Builders Inc. in East Douglas.
    Mr. Wilkins was a member of First Baptist Church in North Oxford, and its Board of Mission & Social Outreach.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in First Baptist Church, 159 Main St., North Oxford. The Rev. Richard G. Harris will officiate. Burial will be in North Cemetery. Calling hours at Lullmann-Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., are 7 to 9 tonight. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
