Sherman. Obit. PJ 12/9/1918. Abigail Brown Sherman, the oldest resident born in Fluvanna, died at her home in that village on Saturday evening at 9:45, aged 89 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was born in Fluvanna on June 14, 1829 and lived there almost her entire life. She was an ideal homemaker. Survived by three brothers: Alexander Brown of Dayton, O., Almond Brown of Chautauqua, George W. Brown of Burdett, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Ann Smiley of South Stockton and a large number of nieces and nephews. A member of Fluvanna Methodist Church and one of 13 children, ten of whom lived to be over 70 years of age.
