      Deceased Name: Alan D. Peter
      Alan D. Peter, 57, of Hillsdale, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Hillsdale Community Health Center, after fighting a lifetime of illnesses. He was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Hillsdale, to Marlowe and Marie (Hoard) Peter. She survives in Hillsdale.
      Alan was a former salesman at the Sears Store and a graduate of Camden-Frontier High School in 1968. Alan's hobbies included playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
      Surviving besides his mother Marie, are two children, Amy (Adam) Ladd of Hillsdale and Tracy (Jeannie) Peter of Frontier; four grandchildren, Courtney Hinkley, Brock Ladd and Kevin and Kelsey Peter; two sisters, Marlene Donihue of Hillsdale and Arletta (Robert) Moore of Frontier.
      He was preceded in death by his father.
      Funeral services for Alan Peter will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Donald Lee officiating.
      Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Township. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
