      Herald-Mail, The (Hagerstown, MD) - November 4, 2002
      MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. - Andrew Daniel Arnold, 95, of Sunrise Assisted Living Center, and formerly of Brunswick, Md., died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at Casey House Hospice in Rockville, Md.
      Born Sept. 8, 1907, he was the son of the late Andrew David and Amanda Catherine Young Arnold.
      His wife of 56 years, Thelma M. Hoar Arnold, died in 1995.
      He attended Brunswick schools.
      He was a farmer and in 1940, became a car repairman for Washington Terminal Co. He retired from railroading in 1972 with more than 30 years of service.
      He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brunswick.
      He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and the Brunswick Senior Center.
      He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Higgins of Springfield, Va., and Miriam Wills of Montgomery Village; one son, Philip Arnold of Lindenhurst, Ill.; three granddaughters; and one grandson.
      He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth and Catherine; and three brothers, David Arnold, John Arnold and Maurice Arnold.
      Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Brunswick. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Burkittsville, Md.
      The family will receive visitors today from 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends.
