  [[ Obituary: Beulah Colleen Torkelson, 83, of Liberty, MO, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. Beulah attended high school in Effingham, KS, graduating in 1945. She married Giles Torkelson June 30, 1949, in Atchison, KS. She was a proud member of Liberty United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Atchison Chapter. She retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. in 1990 after several years of employment. Survivors include her daughter, Joy Peach and husband, Kent, five granddaughters, Joleen Sullivan and husband, Steve, Julie Charay, Jill Little and husband, Eric, Jennifer Hoover and husband, Lance, and Janie Einerson and husband, Tait, ten great-grandchildren, Patrick, Elizabeth and Nicholas Sullivan, Joseph, Jacob and Jillian Charay, Austin Little, Chase Hoover and Thea and Calla Einerson, all of Liberty, MO, and a sister, Roberta Kiehl and husband, Don, Topeka, KS. Beulah is preceded in death by her husband, Giles Chase Torkelson, son John Giles Torkelson, and sister Marjorie Turner. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset Ave, Liberty, MO. Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
