  [[ Obituary: Herald, The (Sharon, PA) - January 19, 2011 Deceased Name: Della Y. O'Dell Victory Christian member was honored by agency Della Y. O'Dell of 15 Connelly Blvd., Sharon, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 72. Mrs. O'Dell was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of Dearth and Hazel Hoar Swoger. She attended school in Ripley, N.Y., and following school was a homemaker. Della was a member of Victory Christian Center, New Wilmington campus. She was involved with the Mental Health Association in Sharon and was awarded an outstanding achievement award for her work with the association. Della loved word search puzzles and bingo and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The most important people in her life were her grandchildren and family. Her husband, Andrew Peter Benton O'Dell, whom she married June 29, 1968, passed away July 17, 1988. She is survived by: two daughters, Gail and her husband Robert Saxion, West Middlesex; and Lynn and her husband Arthur Callahan, Harrisville; three sisters, Sandy, Jane and Margie; two brothers, Bob and Richard; and seven grandchildren, Leslie, Stephanie and Nancy Saxion; and Dakota Gromley, Richard O'Dell Jr., Destiny O'Dell and Stephen Callahan. Della is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Nicole O'Dell, West Middlesex. Besides her parents and husband, Della was preceded in death by a son, Richard O'Dell; three sisters, Mary, Hazel and Agnes; and a brother, Leonard.
