      Deceased Name: HORNUNG, Frederick I. Jr. (Fred)
      Of Millington, passed away early Friday morning September 12, 2008 while at Brian's House in Davison, MI. Fred was 74. Frederick I. Hornung Jr. was born in Millington on July 14, the son of Frederick I. and Evelyn (Lutze) Hornung Sr. Fred married Miss June Hoard on January 14, 1955. June and Fred have celebrated 53 years of marriage. In 1982 Fred retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors after 30 years of employment. Fred was a member in good standing with the UAW Local 599, and a past member of the Vassar FOE. Fred leaves to cherish his memory: wife, June; four children, Julie and Frank Ramiller, Laura and Daniel Perrault, Janice and Stephen Essenmacher, and Joann Gaissert; eight grandchildren, Nick, Erica, Alina, Stephanie, Allyson, Mark, Daniel, and Shane; one great-grand-daughter, Kelli. Fred also leaves two brothers, Jerry and David Hornung; and a sister, Maryann DuBreuil, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Fred was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip; three sisters, Patricia Raetz, Earlene Hart, and Eileen Sellers. The Hornung family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery in Millington. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance in Fred's memory can be directed to the American Lung Association, or the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
