Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) - April 1, 1996
Deceased Name: HARRY A. SHURR
Harry A. Shurr, 94, formerly of 99 Ontario St., died Saturday in the Oswego Hospital.
Mr. Shurr was born in Oswego and was a life resident of the area. He was a veteran of the Navy and served in World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1968, he was employed as a machinist with the Regis Paper Co. Mr. Shurr was a member of Oswego Masonic Lodge and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Horr Shurr of Oswego; two daughters, Nan AuClair of Oswego and Thelma Jane Brady of Staunton, Va.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St. Masonic services will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Loretto Heights Nursing Home Activities Department, 132 Ellen St., Oswego 13126.
