      Obituary:
      Jacqueline J. Lajewski (nee Barber), 76, of Port Reading, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Perth Amboy and lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Port Reading 20 years ago. She was employed by Perth Amboy Nursing Home as a nurse's aide for over 20 years. She was a former communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church and the Perth Amboy Elks Lodge <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/elks-lodge/?personid=151290233&affiliateID=2397> #784.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary B. (nee Hoar) Barber; three brothers, Edward, Lambert J., and William; and four sisters, Phyllis, Helen, Jean and Mary Barber. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ralph A. Lajewski; her son and daughter-in-law, Francis D. and Roxanne Barber of Fords; son, Peter R. Barber of Port Reading; son and daughter-in-law, Lambert J. and Patricia Rosado of Hopelawn; son, Ralph A. Lajewski Jr. of Port Reading; a daughter, Jacqueline K. Lajewski of Deerport, Pa.; daughter, Phyllis M. Lajewski of Naples, Fla.; her brother, Frank Barber of Perth Amboy; adored grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 25.

      Visiting is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay St., Perth Amboy. We will begin to leave at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27 from the funeral home. Burial at Alpine Cemetery.
