      Deceased Name: Kennetha Kay Columber
      Kennetha Kay Columber, 59, of Akron, passed away Sept. 3, 2003, at Akron City Hospital.
      She was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Alma, Mich., to the late Irvin and Ada (Gibson) Blanton. Kennetha was a lifelong member of the Akron Turner Club, Wolf Ledges Athletic Club, Croatian Club, and the Eagles 555.
      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sharon Blanton and Dixie (Blanton) Earl; brothers, Clyde Blanton and Paul Blanton; grandson, Shane Messenger. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie VanHorn of Key West, Fla., Tammy (Gordon) Smith of Odessa, Texas; sons, Martyn (Lynette) Van Horn of Akron, Lee (Tina) Columber of Canton; grandchildren, Dewey, Dustin, Drew, Ashley, Jordan, Joshua, Justin, Jacob, Brittany, Zachary, Lee Allan and Chase; great-grandchild, Angel; sisters, Fronie (Robert) Studebaker, Lillie (Garnet) Hoard, Maxine (David) McAnany, Amanda (Oscar) Gates, Pauline (Johnny) Jiminez; brother, Ernie Blanton; former husband, Roy Columber; very special friend, Gary Walleen.
      A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. until the service begins. (NEWCOMER-FARLEY, 330-784-3334.)
