      Deceased Name: Maureen F. Daly
      LOWELL-- Maureen F. (Flynn) Daly, 62, a longtime Lowell resident who managed a City Hall credit union, died Tuesday, May 10, at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of John C. Daly, to whom she was married for 39 years.
      She was born in Lowell on Aug. 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Owen and Rita (Sharkey) Flynn. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1960.
      Mrs. Daly was employed in the Auditor's Office in City Hall for many years. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Daly was employed as the manager of the Lowell Municipal Federal Employees Credit Union, located in City Hall. Prior to that, she managed Riverside Sports for 16 years, a family-owned trophy and awards business, started by her father, Owen, in 1959.
      Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristin Hoar and her husband Robert "Chip" Hoar of Lowell; her granddaughter, Kiley of Lowell; her sister, Sheila R. Scanlon; her niece and godchild, Susan Bradley of Tyngsboro; and her nephews, Thomas and Barry Scanlon of Lowell. Mrs. Daly also leaves her special brother-in-law, Thomas Scanlon and Geraldine Williams; her uncle, Francis Flynn of Lowell; her mother-in-law, Harriet Daly of Chelmsford; and her supportive in-laws, Harriet Cares of Shelbyville, Tenn., Mary and Charlie Pappas of Waldorf, Md., Jane and Butch Brunetta of Sterling, Ann Daly of Dracut, Helen and William Leary of Chelmsford, Michael and Linda Daly of Hampton, N.H., and Barbara and Victor Kiloski of Tyngsboro.
      Mrs. Daly is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also leaves her special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McCabe of Lowell.
      She was also the sister-in-law of the late William Daley of Dracut

      LOWELL Mr. John C. Daly, age 67, a lifetime resident of Lowell, died peacefully Monday morning, August 10, 2009 at his home. He was the husband of the late Maureen F. (Flynn) Daly for thirty-nine years, who died on May 10, 2005. Born in Lowell, MA on December 13, 1941 he was a son of Mrs. Harriet (Clark) Daly of Chelmsford and the late John W. Daly.
      He received his early education in Lowell and was a graduate of the former Keith Academy class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Air force from February 17, 1960 until his honorable discharge on November 29, 1963. John worked as a Union Bricklayer for numerous years before he began his career in sales having been employed by Gervais Lincoln Mercury of Lowell for many years. He was a member of the Longmeadow Golf Club and the Knickerbocker Club and he enjoyed his golfing trips to Florida. In addition to his mother, John is survived by a daughter and son in law, Kristin Daly and her husband Robert "Chip" Hoar of Lowell; a granddaughter, Kiley Daly of Lowell; his sisters and brother, Harriet Cares of Shelbyville, TN, Mary Pappas and her husband Charlie of Waldorf, MD, Jane Brunetta and her husband Butch of Sterling, MA, Helen Leary and her husband William of Chelmsford, MA, Michael Daly and his wife Linda of The Villages, FL and Barbara Kiloski and her husband Victor of Tyngsboro, MA; two sisters in law, Ann Daly of Dracut and Shiela Scanlon of Lowell; his god mother, Patricia Gillick of Hampton, NH; an aunt, Mary Creegan of Chelmsford, MA; numerous nieces and nephews and all of his friends at Gervais. He was also the brother of the late William Daly.
      DALY Mr. John C. Daly, age 67, a resident of Lowell and husband of the late Maureen F. (Flynn) Daly. Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket Street, Lowell on Wednesday from 3 until 8 P.M. Funeral Thursday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9 o'clock in the Immaculate Conception Church, East Merrimack St., Lowell. Burial will be Private.
