Clyde and Laura Porter Smiley. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Ralph was a third-grade teacher at Fluvanna School. She was a former member of the Ellery Baptist Church, a founding member of the Ellery Center Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Aux., a former member of the Jamestown Women's Bowling Association and a frequent caller on WJTN talk radio and ''Opinion Please.'' Mrs. Ralph was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening. Surviving is a son, Gary E. (Malissa) Miller of Ellery Center; and a daughter, G. Linette Miller of Tacoma, Wash. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John G. Miller; her second husband, J. Oliver Ralph; two brothers, Freeburn E. and Robert Porter Smiley; and a sister, Lee Judy Smiley.
