HINDLE, Romola M.
Romola M. Hindle, 96, of Avon, passed away on Wednesday, (November 14, 2001) after a brief illness. She was born in Grand Lake Stream, ME, on May 16, 1905 to the late Willis and Laura (Patterson) Hoar and lived there until she left to pursue a nursing career in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Until recently, she had been living in Kingfield, ME. She leaves her step son, Donald Hindle and wife, Nancy of Narragansett, RI; her two grandsons, Jeffrey and Gregory Hindle; her niece, Marie Kowalsky and husband, Charles of Glastonbury; her niece, Charlotte Swanson and husband, John of Interlaken, NY; her nephews, Warren Hoar of W. Willington and Willis Hoar of Tolleson, AZ; her niece, Barbara Wheaton and husband, Kenneth of Grand Lake Stream, ME; her great niece, Susan Davenport and husband, Douglas of Burlington; her great niece, Susan Hurd and husband, James of Lexington, ME; her great nephew, Christopher Wheaton of Grand Lake Stream, ME; and her sister-in-law, Helen Hoar of Waterville, ME. She also leaves her special friends, Patricia Hanmer of W. Simsbury, Darlene Twiss and Michael Clemens of Maine, Mary Vrooman of Simsbury, Peter and Anne Hurd of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by seven siblings, her first husband, Gustaf Nelson and second husband, John Hindle. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Memorial Hospital Capital Campaign in Farmington, ME. Graveside services were held at Pawtuxet Memorial Park in Warwick, RI.
