Obituary:
EXETER - Rowena (Hoare) Fellowes, 101, formerly of 3 Portsmouth Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at SunBridge of Exeter where she had resided for the past few years.
She was born Sept. 3, 1903, in Montpelier, Vt., the daughter of William and Catherine (Buchanan) Hoare, and had resided in Exeter for more than 60 years.
Mrs. Fellowes was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, Exeter.
The widow of Robert Fellowes, who died in 1962, she is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Carlisle of Dahlonega, Ga.; one son, Frederick S. "Ted" Fellowes of Elm Grove, Wis.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Joseph Howard of Montpelier; two sisters, Estella Meaker of Waterbury, Vt., and Phyllis Baker of Montpelier; and many nieces and nephews.
Private services were held Friday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Burial was in Exeter Cemetery, where her niece Kathy Duprey of Vermont said words of remembrance and read a Native American prayer
