Dear Ms. Edson,
I saw your entry in RootWeb concerning Orlin Clinton Powers. He is my gr-gr-gr uncle. His brother, Royal Wallace Powers is my gr-gr-gr grandfather. I am originally from Celoron, NY, and am now in many historical societies, including Daughter's of Union Veterans 1861-1865, National Society of Daughters of American Revolution, Stukely Westcott Descendants of America and the reenactment unit of the 148th New York Volunteer Infantry. Orlin Clinton Powers was in the 148th NYS Volunteer Infantry, and I proudly honor him.
I would love to connect with you. I am trying to find photos of Royal Wallace Powers, and his family. If you have any old family photos, I would love to have you share these via email attachments, etc. I have Royal Wallace Powers Military and Pension Records. He was 5'8", blue eyes, light hair, with fair complexion. I have a photo of his daughter, Lorena Irene Powers Sheffield, with her children Ernest, Raymond and Ethel Mae, my gr-grandmother.
I would love to hear from you.
Thank you so much,
Sincerely,
Susan Sheldon
PS
I am looking for contact from all the families of Royal Wallace Powers, and his brothers and sisters descendants.

I have many questions about what happened to Royal Wallace Powers after the Civil War. I search for his photo at all times. I would love to have copies of family photos. I would love to speak to any and all descendants. I decorate Flora and Royal Powers grave periodically in Cherry Creek, NY. I honor both Royal Wallace Powers and Orlin Clinton Powers in my Civil War reenactment groups.
Most Sincerely,
Susan L. Sheldon
