  [[ Her father's obituary: Sun, The (Lowell, MA) - December 15, 2004 Deceased Name: Richard J. Gingrasof Dracut, correctional officer at MCI Concord; 65 DRACUT Richard J. Gingras, 65, died Monday, Dec. 13, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Diane E. (McHugh) Gingras. He was born in Dracut on Sept. 20, 1939, son of the late Gerard and Blanche (Perrin) Gingras. He received his early education from Dracut schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Lowell. Mr. Gingras was once employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Lowell. He later became the owner and operator of Sandy's Restaurant in Bristol, N.H. for five years. He then operated the kitchen of the Knickerbocker Club in Lowell for five years. Until his illness, Mr. Gingras was employed for 17 years as a correctional officer at Massachusetts Correctional Institute in Concord. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut and a member of the Men's Club at St. Therese Church in Dracut. He enjoyed golf and tennis. Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Robert McGloughlin, Kimberly and David Miller, all of Dracut, and Colleen and Bernard Hoar of Haverhill; eight grandchildren, Lance Cpl. Richard McGloughlin of South Carolina, Kelly McGloughlin of Dracut, Jordan and Leah Miller, both of Dracut, and Nathaniel, Mitchel, Tamara and Alexander Hoar, all of Haverhill; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Nancy Gingras of Nashua; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Mr. Gingras was also the brother of the late Ronald and Gerard Gingras Jr.
