why did 2 kids have middle name of Wortman
      Assume that's Maria's mother's maiden name?

The name Maria/Mary was extremely popular in the Quick family. The only Maria or Mary Quick I could find in that time-frame that I don't know who she married is Maria Quick, Born 22 November 1773 in Harlingen, Somerset County, New Jersey, daughter of Joachim Quick & Catherine Snedeker. Could she be the mother of this Peter Spader?

16His [James Vanderveer Spader] paternal lineage has not been documented by this researcher, but he is believed to be a descendant or relative of Johannes Spader of Holland (ca. 1691-1730)known to be in Middlebush, Somerset County in 1718. His father, William Spader, was known to be a member of the Reformed Dutch Church in Readington Township, near Amwell, NJ. William Spader left a will in Hunterdon County found in Record in Colonial Documents of NJ dated May 9 1815, wherein he mentions his 5 children. His wife, Catherine, also left a will dated July 27 1804, naming two of her daughters and her son, James.

t this point, I am using my theory that William had multiple wives, and
that my ancestor Elizabeth Spader is half-sister to your ancestor Bergen(?) Spader. I will let you know if I find any more Spader information to either support or shoot down this theory.

abt 1761 when William (Wellem) z was 19, he married Mary (Marya) Huff.

In my "unproven" data, I've just made a connection. No data to back it up but it's all logical. This is how I percieve the tree to go, from Bergun. I suspect Marryja HUFF is the parent of Bergun for a couple of reasons,
      1) she appears to be the right age to be his mother (20 years),
      2) Supposedly she married a William Spader,
      3) her father's name is Bergon,
      4) of the 3 siblings of hers with children [I can find], 2 have a child named Bergon (Bergen),
      5) The Dubois, Marryja HUFF's family lived in the area (Elizabeth Rynearson and Bergun Spader would be 1st cousins, icky I know, but it happened a lot back then),
      6) Marryja could be reasonably interpreted by a non-family member, a century later as Mary.

32 William Spader. Born abt 1722 in can't be son unless dob wrong.

      per JH

Johann Wilhelm spouse maybe Marya Hegerman??? JH

34 Brogun Bergen Huff. Born abt 1707. Brogun died aft 1787, he was 80.
