SOCIA, 77 OXFORD - Hester M. (Wilkins) Socia, 77, of 6 Oak Drive, North Oxford, died Tuesday in the Providence House Nursing Home in Southbridge after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 50 years, Charles Socia; a son, Michael C. Socia of Groton; a daughter, Norel M. Cronin of North Oxford; two brothers, Wilfred Wilkins of Oxford and Roland Wilkins of Patten, Maine; two sisters, Vivian "Honey" Socia of Oxford and Dorothy Shean of Island Falls, Maine; and four grandchildren. She was born in Island Falls, Maine, daughter of Ruppert and Mildred (Hoar) Wilkins, and lived in North Oxford for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford in North Oxford, and the Church Women's Fellowship, the Bible Study Group and the Church Choir. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the First Baptist Church of Oxford, 159 Main St., North Oxford. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight at the Robert J.
