      Newspaper clipping (unidentified provenance): Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hawley, of
      Columbus, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Grant, of North Plum street. They
      were married last Thursday night at the home of the bride, nee Miss Jessie
      Hafford, in the capital city, and came here immediately after the ceremony.
      Mrs. Grant is the bridegroom's aunt. Irving Grant, his cousin, was the
      bridegroom's best man at the ceremony, which was attended by about forty
      relatives and friends. In possession of Albert M. Muth, Livonia, MI 1996.

      1904 Graduated from North High School Columbus
      1909 Graduated from Ohio State University, degree of bachelor of law

      1910 He and his wife went to Missoula, Montana, then to Timber Valley,
      Washington, then to Portland, Oregon

      Worked as Teller in street car company.

      1912- Gateman on the St. John's ferry (Mate's duties also)

      1912. Bought house at 63 W. Church Street.

      about 1916 Wife, Virginia, and Howard began to attend the Ockley Green
      Evangelical Sunday School.

      1917 Whole family ill with scarlet fever. Quarantined for 3 months.

      1918 Wife, Virginia and Howard made a 3 months trip to visit relatives in
      Columbus.

      Was Storekeeper in the Coast Shipbuilding Company.

      1919 Storekeeper, dubber, planer, and plugger for the Grant-Smith-Porter
      Shipyards.

      1920 Steel cutter and pipe hanger's helper for Vancouver Shipyard.

      1920. Sold house on on Church St.; rented until June 1921 on Interstate
      Avenue.

      June 1921. Whole family moved east. Lived at 2105 Indiana Avenue with
      wife's sisters until April 1922.
      Children Virginia and Howard attended Northwood Ave. School (5th and 2nd
      grades, respectively).

      1921. Timekeeper for Mt. Vernon Bridge Construction Company.

      1922. Bought 14 acre farm in Delaware County. Moved there in April.
      Started chicken and egg route in Columbus. Planted farm in apple and peach
      orchard.

      1928. Went back to O.S.U., education courses.

      1931. Elected as Sunday School superintendent (Center Village M.E. Church)

      1932. Appointed as Justice of the Peace of Harlem Twp.
