His wife, the former Kathryn Orr, died 13 May 1978. Born in Scranton, son of the late William A & Mary O'Brien McDowell, he was educated in Scranton schools. Prior to his retirement he was manager for the General Electric Supply, He was a member of St Clare's Church and its Men's and Women's Society. He is survived by a son, Kenneth, Clarks Summit; two grandchildren, Kristie and Kenneth, both of Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday from the Albert P O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St, Dunmore, with Mass at 10:30 in St Clare's Church. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
