Deceased Name: LEO SHEA, 86
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Leo Shea, 86, of San Francisco, formerly of Worcester, Mass., a retired sales executive and newspaper production manager, died Jan. 9 in John Muir Hospital, Walnut Creek.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Lillian (Hoar) Shea; a son, Peter Shea of Alameda; three daughters, Paula Henning of Greenbrae, Susan Shea of Marin and Leslie Sitov of Pleasant; a sister, Nancy Mallett of Worcester; and eight grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Humphrey and Catherine (Donovan) Shea, and was raised there, moving to San Francisco in 1945. He graduated from Holy Cross College with a major in industrial relations.
Mr. Shea was vice president of sales for Sun Chemical in Newport Beach from the late 1960s to 1986. He previously was production manager for 20 years at the San Francisco Examiner. He began his career as a pressman with the Worcester Telegram.
He was a member of the Pressmen's Union and St. Isidore's Parish.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Danville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Foundation of San Francisco, 121 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco, Calif. 94102.
