Leroy S. Nathan, 73
Hyannis - Leroy S. Nathan, 73, a resident of Hyannis, died Jan. 19, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital.
He was married to Rose (Horr) Nathan for 50 years.
Mr. Nathan was born, raised and educated in New York City.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 13 years until becoming a retail salesman for W.T. Grant's and Caldor department stores in Peekskill, N.Y.
Mr. Nathan moved to Cape Cod in 1972 and worked for Zayre's department store in Hyannis, then opened his own antiques shop in Hyannis, which he ran until his retirement.
He was a member of the Cape Cod Synagogue in Hyannis and was active in L'am.
He was also a member of the National Guard for eight years and enjoyed lamp building, cooking and antiques. In addition to his wife, Mr. Nathan is survived by a daughter, Helene S. Baker of West Yarmouth; a sister, Roberta Reiter of Harrison, N.Y.; and two nephews.
A funeral was held at Cape Cod Synagogue in Hyannis. Burial followed in Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
